1. Download the sources:

For 32 bit systems:

$ wget http://uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/310.40/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-310.40.run

For 64 bit systems:

$ wget http://uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/310.40/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-310.40.run

Install Nvidia 310.40 on Linux Systems, like Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, Fedora, openSUSE, Arch Linux or Crunchbag.

Just run the script, as root:

$ sudo su
# ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-310.40.run

How to install Nvidia 310.40 on 32/64 bit FreeBSD Systems:

This works for FreeBSD and PC-BSD:

1. Download the sources:

For 32 bit systems:

$ wget http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/FreeBSD-x86/310.40/NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-310.40.tar.gz

For 64 bit systems:

$ wget http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/FreeBSD-x86_64/310.40/NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86_64-310.40.tar.gz

2. Extract the archive and cd to the directory:

$ tar xzf NVIDIA-FreeBSD*.tar.gz
$ cd NVIDIA-FreeBSD*

3. Install Nvidia 310.40:
$ su root
# make install

How to install Nvidia 310.40 on Solaris Systems:

Download the sources:

$ wget http://uk.download.nvidia.com/solaris/310.40/NVIDIA-Solaris-x86-310.40.run

Install Nvidia 310.40 on Solaris:

$ su root
# ./NVIDIA-Solaris-x86-310.40.run
