Rendera 0.1.7 (Open-Source Painting And Photo-Retouching Software) Has Been Released

As you may know, Rendera is an open-source painting and photo-retouching software for Linux,

Main features:

  • Clone with any paint tool or blending mode, with mirror and edge-wrapping options.
  • Interactive offset always at hand for seamless texture work.
  • Basic crop tool.
  • Photographic filters for restoration projects.
  • Text tool.
  • Crude flood fill tool.

The latest version available is Rendera 0.1.7, which has been recently released.

Install Rendera on Ubuntu

Installation instructions:

The latest Rendera releases are available via some third party PPA, so installing the software on Ubuntu is a piece of cake. Just add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the randera package:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install rendera

Optional, to remove rendera, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove rendera

The installation instructions should work on Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Deepin 2014, Peppermint 6, Peppermint 5, LXLE 14.04 and Linux Lite 2.
