. As you may know, Shutter is a screenshot tool, similar to the Snipping Tool available on Windows systems.
The latest version available is Shutter 0.93.1, which is only a bug-fix release:
- updated Dropbox.pm and XFIXES.pm
- fixed deprecated code
- updated translations
Installation instructions:
In order to successfully install Shutter, we have to add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the shutter package:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shutter/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install shutter
Optional, to remove shutter, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove shutter
The installation instructions should work on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus, Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17.x, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya and other Ubuntu derivative systems.
