KDE 4.10.5 Has Been Officially Released Today

Hello Linux Geeksters. KDE 4.10.5 has been officially released today. It brings more than 30 bugfixes since the previous version, including Kontact and Dolphin improvements

From the official announcement:

“KDE 4.10.5 updates bring many bugfixes and translation updates on top of the 4.10 release and are recommended updates for everyone running the 4.10 release series. As this release only contains bugfixes and translation updates, it will be a safe and pleasant update for everyone.”

KDE 4.10.5 is the last stable version, until KDE 4.11 will be released, probably on the 14th of August.

It is not available in any PPA yet, but you can download the binaries, from here.

Installation/Upgrade instructions for Ubuntu:

In this article I will show you how to upgrade your KDE to KDE 4.10.5, on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa: kubuntu-ppa/backports
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
