Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the second beta version of KDE 4.11 has been released.
New features and improvements, from the official KDE site:
- Qt Quick in Plasma Workspaces
- Faster Nepomuk indexing
- Kontact improvements
- KWin and Path to Wayland
In this article I will show you how to upgrade the KDE version on your system to KDE 4.11 Beta 2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Linux Mint 16 Petra and Linux Mint 15 Olivia.
It will be added in its PPA soon, so, all you have to do to upgrade KDE to 4.11 Beta 2, on the latest Ubuntu and Linux Mint systems, just do:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/beta
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
