Hello Linux Geeksters. There is very little information about Linux Mint 16 Petra. We know that Linux Mint 16 Petra is based on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, so the Ubuntu Saucy applications are compatible with Linux Mint Petra.
Also, the Linux Mint developers are working at Cinnamon 2.0, which will be the first Cinnamon version that will have all the default applications developed by the Linux Mint developers.
Linux Mint 16 Petra will also bring MintStick, a graphical interface for the DD tool (disk dump), that allows the user to create bootable pendrives or memory cards, of their favourite Linux distro. The tool will also come with a USB Stick Formatter function which is also integrated in the Nemo and Dolphine file manger, in order to help the user format the pendrive / memory card as FAT, NTFS, EXT3, EXT4 or any other format.
