Hello Linux Geeksters. The default wallpaper for Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr has been revealed yesterday. It is called Suru and it is in the style of the classical Ubuntu default wallpaper.
The classical wallpaper has the scope to easily let the users know they are running on an Ubuntu system. The wallpaper can be downloaded at higi resolution from here.
This is what Michal Izydorczyk (the Suru designer) said on the official blog:
“For the last couple of weeks we’ve been working on the new Ubuntu Wallpaper. It is never easy trust me. The most difficult part was to work out the connection between the old wallpapers and the new look and feel – Suru. The wallpaper has become an integral part of the ubuntu brand, the strong colours and gradated flow are powerful important elements. We realised this when looking from a distance at someone laptop it really does shout UBUNTU,”
As a reminder, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr will be released on the 17th of April, 2014.
