Mount partitions without authentication in Fuduntu 2012.4 and SolusOS 1.2

By default in Fuduntu/SolusOS, the system asks for the root password when mounting the partitions. This is quite annoying when you are the only user on the system.

So, in this article I will show you how to disable the authentication when mounting partitions on Fuduntu 2012.04 and SolusOS 1.2.

Open the file with root priviledges, /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.udisks.policy in your favourite browser. (In Fuduntu, beesu is sudo)

Fuduntu:

$ beesu gedit /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.udisks.policy

Solus OS:

$ sudo gedit /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.udisks.policy

Next, find this line: <allow_active>auth_admin_keep</allow_active>

And replace it with: <allow_active>yes</allow_active>.

Save the changes to the file and everything is done.
