MWC 2014: Jolla Has Demoed Sailfish OS On Samsung Galaxy S3, TCL Idol X And Xiaomi

Also worth mentionig, the bloggers attending the MWC 2014 will be able the meet with important Jolla developers, including Marc Dillon, Carol Chen and Juhani Lassila, in 25-26 February. The Jolla stand is in Hall 1 – Booth 1B25.

Not long ago, the Jolla developers have announced that after the release of Sailfish OS 1.0, which will not be a beta version anymore, Jolla’s Sailfish OS will be ported Android devices. Also worth mentioning, two videos of Sailfish OS running on the Google Nexus 4 have been leaked into the internet.

For those who don’t know yet, Jolla is a project developed by former Nokia employees. The first Jolla smartphone is running on Sailfish OS, a modified Megoo Linux system, which is Android compatible, uses Wayland as the default display server , uses Nokia N9′s Maliit touchscreen keyboard and comes with interchangeable covers, allowing the users to easily switch them, in order to change the color/model of the phone and comes with impressive hardware specifications.
