Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the first release candidate of OpenSUSE 13.1 has been released a while ago.

OpenSUSE 13.1 RC1 comes with both GNOME 3.10 and KDE 4.11.2. Among other new things, OpenSUSE 13.1 will update the btrfs file system, run on Kernel 3.11.3 and use the snapshot tool called Snapper 0.1.7. For more information, see the official announcement.
Also, openSUSE 13.1 will be an evergreen version, this meaning that it will get security improvements and bugfixes after the 18 months of maintenance cycle, for at least three years.
