Hello Linux Geeksters. The Ubuntu community is discussing whether the window buttons should be placed on the left side of the windows’ or on the right, just like on KDE (and Windows).
The current Ubuntu version do not allow the users to move the close, minimize and maximize buttons to the right, since Canonical has introduced new window manager features like borderless windows, antialising and rounder corners.
The Ubuntu users that come from Windows consider the buttons are misplaced, while the old Ubuntu fans prefer them on the left side of the window, this way being closer to the Unity launcher.
In any case, you check the mailing list discussion and see if you have anything to add. Who knows, maybe if enough people make this request, the developers will notice that it’s an important issue.
