Hello Linux Geeksters. Yesterday, Steam has received a new beta update (maybe the last one until a new build) for the Linux client, bringing some fixes to the previous version:

- Fixed some cases that may have been the cause of non-Steam game shortcuts disappearing
- Fixed a regression where actions could be falsely blocked for parental controls
Valve’s tradition is to wait until enough changes have been added to the current Steam client, before they release it as stable and start work for new beta versions.
As you may know, Valve made gaming possible on some popular Linux systems, including Ubuntu and Fedora, bringing popular games like: Counter Strike, Portal, Dota 2 to the Linux world.
