The First Daily Builds Of Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr Are Available For Download

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the next Ubuntu system will be Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr, which will be released on the 17th of April, 2014.

Despite the fact that Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander has been just released a few days ago, the Canonical team has already began the development of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. The first daily builds are now available for download and testing. Among others, Ubuntu Trusty updated the following packages: GCC 4.8 to GCC 4.8.2, Perl 5.14 to Perl 5.18, Berkeley DB 5.1 to Berkeley DB 5.3 and boost 1.53 to boost 1.54. Being a long term support release, Ubuntu 14.04 will be updated for 5 years. Also, Canonical aims to reach full convergence between the Ubuntu desktop and mobile, with Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
