Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may already know, the Mozilla developers have been working hard in the last year, in order to get the new browser theme, called Australis, ready for release. Australis has a modern and simplistic look, with rounded tabs, providing a Chrome-like eye experience. See the above screenshot for more information.

While it has been implemented as default in the Firefox 28 Nightly version, which is available for Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04 and derivates systems via PPA, the Mozilla developers have created a new branch of Firefox 28 Nightly named Holly, that does not include the Australis interface, for the users that don’t want to switch to the new, Chrome-like theme.
The Australis interface has been rescheduled to be implemented by default in Firefox 29 Aurora. Lately, the Mozilla developers are already developing add-ons rooted in Australis, in order to extend the browser’s functionality and match with the new interface.
