The Ubuntu Touch Devel Branch Is Now Based On Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the Ubuntu RTM branch, used by default on the BQ E4.5 Aquaris Ubuntu Edition, still uses Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn as code-base.

But Ubuntu-devel has just switched to Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, a new Ubuntu-devel image being promoted yesterday.

Now, Canonical is working hard at an OTA update for Ubuntu-RTM (which should bring battery improvements), but after the new image gets promoted, the Ubuntu RTM branch will also switch to Ubuntu Vivid.

As a reminder, the first Ubuntu phones are BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition and Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition, while the operating system (Ubuntu Touch) is officially supported on the Nexus 4 device developed by Google and LG. Also, the community has started porting the system to the LG Optimus G and OnePlus One smartphones.
