Thunderbird 24.1.0 Has Been Added To The Default Repositories Of Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander

Despite the fact that the Mozilla developers neglected Thunderbird, in order to work on Firefox and Firefox OS, they still bring many security fixes to the email client.

 Thunderbird 24.1.0 has been added to the default repositories of Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin and derivates, including: Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

Now, Thunderbird 24.1.0 has been added to the default repositories of Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin and derivates, including: Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

In order to install Thunderbird 24.1.0 on the latest versions of Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS, all you have to do is update the local repository index and install the thunderbird package:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install firefox

Or perform a normal system upgrade:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
