Thunderbird 24.4.2 Is Now Available Via The Default Repositories Of All The Supported Ubuntu Systems And Derivatives

Canonical has recently fixed some Thunderbird vulnerabilities in Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 12.10 and Ubuntu 12.04 and added it to the default repositories of all the supported Ubuntu systems.

So, to install Thunderbird 24.4.2 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13, Elemnetary OS 0.2 Luna and their derivative systems you have to update the local repository index and install the thunderbird package. Like this:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install thunderbird
