Ubuntu 12.04.5 Might Get The Ubuntu 14.04 Enablement Stack (Kernel, X.Org, Mesa And Others)

Hello Linux Geeksters. Despite that the fourth iteration of Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin (Ubuntu 12.04.4) has been released a few days ago, information about Ubuntu 12.04.5 are already available.

Ubuntu 12.04.5 Might Get The Ubuntu 14.04 Enablement Stack (Kernel, X.Org, Mesa And Others)

While Ubuntu 12.04.4 got the Ubuntu 13.10 enablement stack (Kernel, X.org, Mesa components) implemented, most likely the developers will switch for the Trusty enablement stack in Ubuntu 12.04.5, since Ubuntu 13.10 is not a LTS version.

If the Canonical developers will stick to this plan, Ubuntu 12.04.5 will be using Kernel 3.13 or Kernel 3.14, Mesta 10.1 and many other Ubuntu 14.04 packages. For more information, see the mailing lists.
