Ubuntu 14.04 Is Now Powered By Kernel 3.13.6

Hello Linux Geeksters. Canonical has implemented Kernel 3.13.6 as the default kernel of Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, which will be released on the 17th of April 2014. The Ubuntu developers are working hard to implement the latest kernel available, in order to help the users benefit from the latest features and have a system supporting the newest hardware specifications.

Ubuntu 14.04 Is Now Powered By Kernel 3.13.6

Since the Kernel freeze is scheduled for the 3rd of April, the Ubuntu developers may switch the default kernel yet again, with either the next maintenance release of Kernel 3.13 or even Kernel 3.14, if it reaches stability soon enough.

Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr got many interesting new features recently, including: locally integrated menus (a feature also present on GNOME 3.12), improved shutdown dialogs, a new feature that allows the users to increase the volume up to 200%, a rewritten Unity 7 with support for window filtering by title, Unity Control Center as a replacement for GNOME Control Center, and of course, a new default wallpaper and 11 other pretty wallpapers submitted and voted by the community. Also, the Login Screen and the Lock Screen have been made to look identical.
