Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr Will Switch To Kernel 3.13 RC 7 Soon

Since Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr is a LTS (long term supported) version, most likely it will be released with Kernel 3.13 stable, but we may even see Kernel 3.14, if there won’t be too many release candidates and Canonical will have enough time to test it.

If Ubuntu 14.04 sticks to Kernel 3.13, the Ubuntu developers will need to back-port many Kernel 3.14 patches on Kernel 3.13, since they need updates support for Intel Broadwell, open-source graphics drivers and file-system improvements.
