Hello Linux Geeksters. For those who don’t know yet, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander has been released yesterday. As promised, Mark Shuttleworth has announced the codename of the next Ubuntu version, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS: Trusty Tahr.

The Tahr is an animal related to a goat, leaving up in the Himalayas.
So our titular totem, our tamper-proof taboo, our tranquil memento of mission and dues, our topical target of both cry and hue, the name for our LTS thoughtful and true: I give you, as Seuss would, with hullabaloo, the temperate and thrifty, the talented and tactful but ultimately, and tellingly, trusty tahr./blockquote>
