Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the development of Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet has started a while ago, the first daily images being already available for download.

Because Ubuntu 15.04 is in its first days of development, it’s hard to predict which kernel will be used on the final version of Ubuntu Vivid, scheduled for release in April 2014. Recently, the developers have integrated kernel 3.18 RC2, the newest, unstable kernel patch available for now.
On Ubuntu systems, the kernel versions are chosen before the kernel freeze, development stage reaches and one or to kernel iterations that may get released, between the freeze and the official release, are ignored by Canonical. Depending on the kernel release schedule, kernel 3.19 or even kernel 3.20 will be used.
