Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus Is Now In Final Freeze, The Final Version Will Be Released On April 21

As you may know, Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus LTS is scheduled for release on the 21st of April, 2016.

Yesterday, Canonical’s Adam Conrad has announced that Ubuntu Xenial has reached its “Final Freeze” state, meaning that from now on, Canonical will focus on implementing bug-fixes and will not add any new features.

Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus LTS will be based on the Kernel 4.4 LTS, will bring support for installing apps from both snap and deb packages and will permit the users to move the Unity Launcher to the bottom.
