Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the first stable version of Ubuntu Touch, the Ubuntu version for mobile phones and tablets has been released yesterday.
Ubuntu Touch comes with Unity 8 and Mir as the default display server, with a new package manager for the click packages, enabling the users to install apps in their home (without needing sudo), the new ringtones, the Ubuntu Touch Core Apps and many others.
For now, Ubuntu Touch is officially supported on the Galaxy Nexus smartphones and tablets. More installation instructions can be found here.
