As you may know, Canonical has not released any stable image for Ubuntu Touch, the mobile version of the Ubuntu Linux system, yet.
For now, Ubuntu Touch is officially supported on the Google Nexus phones. Sometimes Ubuntu Touch bricks the Nexus devices, not allowing the users to boot the device. To avoid this, they should prevent the phone/tablet from being shut down, due to low battery. Since the battery can’t be easily removed from the Nexus devices, this issue can bad head aches to the Nexus users.
Some Ubuntu enthusiasts managed to port Ubuntu Touch on an Xperia Tablet Z, while others installed the Ubuntu mobile OS on OPPO Find 5.
As a reminder, Ubuntu Touch 1.0 will be released on October 17, the day of the Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander release.
