As you may know, we have previously written that Canonical has created a Film Scope to facilitate the users to watch movie trailers, discover film choices and read movie reviews.

Also, Canonical has partnered up with DJ Yoda, a hip-hop artist to launch a competition where the attenders can win Ubuntu Phones, DJ Yoda’s “The Breakfast of Champions” CD album and two tickets to the Bestival 2015. Despite the fact that the initial deadline was on 17th of August, 2015, it has been extended until the 25th of August.
To take part in the contest, you have to create a Sci-Fi Film as GIF and post it on your Twitter using the #UbuntuGoesSciFi hashtag.
The official announcement:
“We’re inviting the public to create their own Sci-Fi film GIFS where DJ Yoda will judge the best. All we ask is that you be as creative and original as possible,” says Amrisha, social media and campaign manager at Canonical. “We’re extending our #UbuntuGoesSciFi competition to the 25th August!”
