As you may know, Valve is working hard in order to bring many games the the Linux systems, on computers having Intel, Nvidia and AMD graphics cards.

Gabe Newell, the co-founder of Valve has confirmed the release of the gaming console called Steambox. The first details of the Valve gaming console will be released in the next days.
Steambox will be probably based on Ubuntu and will offer a dedicated version of Steam, for gaming and some popular internet applications and services, including a web browser, an email client, Facebook, Google+, Twitter and others.
The Steambox will fight for the gaming supremacy with Xbox and Play Station 4, which runs a FreeBSD derivate.
