Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, VirtualBox 4.3.0 RC1 has been released a while ago, for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. For a full list of changes and improvements, see the official announcement.
In this article I will show you how to install Virtualbox 4.3.0 RC1 on Fedora 18, Fedora 17, CentOS 6 and OpenSUSE 12.3.
Because it is not available via any repository, we have to download the rpm packages from the official site and install them with rpm. Follow the instructions for your system and architecture exactly, in order to get a successful installation.
How to install Virtualbox 4.3.0 RC1 on Fedora 18:
For 32 bit systems:
$ wget -c download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.0_RC1/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.0_RC1_89687_fedora18-1.i686.rpm
$ sudo rpm -i VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.0_RC1_89687_fedora18-1.i686.rpm
For 64 bit systems:
$ wget -c download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.0_RC1/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.0_RC1_89687_fedora18-1.x86_64.rpm
$ sudo rpm -i VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.0_RC1_89687_fedora18-1.x86_64.rpm
