Until the 12 of September, the Lubuntu fans can vote their favourite 5 wallapers to be used as default on Lubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander. As you may know, this wallpaper contest takes part yearly, it’s the 13th time already, since the born of Lubuntu. The 5 most voted wallpapers chosen by the community will be available on both the ISO image of Lubuntu 13.10 and via the Ubuntu software center.
Everybody can vote his favourite wallpaper, just go on this site and choose the image you like the most. My favourite is this one:
As a reminder, the wallpaper contest for Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander has been decided a few days ago. To install the Saucy wallpapers on your Debian / Ubuntu based system, do this:
$ wget -c https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-unity/+archive/daily-build/+build/4901205/+files/ubuntu-wallpapers-saucy_13.04.0%2B13.10.20130823-0ubuntu1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i ubuntu-wallpapers-saucy*.deb
