Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Wireshark is a popular open-source protocol analyzer software, used for studying the network activity. The latest version available and the first version written in Qt is Wireshark 1.11.0.

The Wireshark developers have decided to rewrite Wireshark in Qt. Until now, it has been created by using the GTK+ libraries, but because Qt has support for more operating systems, the developers started to migrate Wireshark to Qt.
