Hello Linux Geeksters.

In this article I will show you how to install Xnoise on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya via PPA.
Xnoise is a free music and video player, available for Ubuntu and Linux Mint. Xnoise is a player based on GTK and written in Vala. It has a simple interface, where you can search for music, queue the songs in the tracklist and play them.
I prefer Xnoise, because I have an option for sending the song to the android device.
To install Xnoise on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, do this:
Add the PPA:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shkn/xnoise
Update the repository index:
$ sudo apt-get update
Install Xnoise:
$ sudo apt-get install xnoise
