Xonotic 0.7 Has Been Released | How To Install Xonotic 0.7 On Ubuntu 13.10, 13.04, 12.10, 12.04 And Linux Mint 15, 14, 13

At its beginnings, Xonotic was a fork for Nexuiz, but it has became the first choice of the Linux gamers when it comes to open source shooter games. Among other new features and fixes, Xonotic 0.7 got its Capture the Flag mode rewritten, new animations were implemented, new functionalities providing 2D elements and the QuakeC compiler.

The game can be found in the getdeb repositories, so all you have to do is add the getdeb repo, update the system and install the game:

$ wget http://archive.getdeb.net/install_deb/getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install xonotic
