Hello Raspberry Pi Enthusiasts. Amazon aims to deliver products by using flying drones, small aircrafts piloted remotely. Despite the fact that this sounds like a fantasist idea, it is quite realizable with less money spent.

Yet Another Raspberry Pi Project: Amazon's Delivery Drones

A drone capable of carrying packages weighting five pounds for 30 minutes has been created by Samy Kamkar, a third party developer and Raspberry Pi enthusiast. He used the following:

  • 1 Parrot AR.Drone 2
  • 1 Raspberry Pi
  • 1 USB battery
  • 1 Alfa AWUS036H wireless transmitter
  • aircrack-ng, node-ar-drone, node.js and the SkyJack software
